3.5m dia. (9.6m2) Garden Dome Studio
Built using the 'glass fibre reinforced concrete sandwich panel system. Using an air former fixed around the perimeter of the slab, we accessed the inside of the air former to spray up the three composite layers. Window and door jambs are cast during the construction process to make an accurate opening for installation.
Music Room, Meditation Room or Guest Room
At just under 10 m2 of floor area. This is big enough for a double bed to fit comfortably. With two louver windows and an apex skylight, the inside is light and well ventilated with the louvers adding extra dimensions of crossflow.
This one featured above is a music studio. There are a piano and several drums and other instruments. The sound inside a dome is just the best. It is very clear.Just like many other of the domes on this website it has been built using a GRC/ Foam sandwich panel system. This system is hard work but we have made it as easy as possible in our manual.
The 3.5m diameter dome featured here is located in the front garden of a private home and is approved by Byron Bay Shire Council. It has been built using a GRC/ Foam sandwich panel system.
