Spaciousness
The interior of the DomeShell is open and spacious because space is not wasted on a roof cavity. For example, the ceiling height is 4.5 metres at the apex of our standard range 9 metre diameter dome. All our standard designs allow a 1850mm (6ft 2in) person to have clear head room standing at the outer wall.
Low Maintenance
DomeShells require little on-going maintenance. There are no roof gutters that can clog up with leaves or rust out over time. This is because rainwater is collected from around the base of the structure. Uses no Timber
and virtually no steel in the Shell Structure which could rot or rust. The
exterior GRC coating is waterproof and further protected by a high quality acrylic
or other paint system that may only require painting every 10 to 15 years.
Termite Proof and Other Pest Safe
DomeShells are impervious to termite attack because timber is not incorporated into the structural shell. There are no cavities in the DomeShell walls or ceiling for vermin to hide.
Fast to Construct and in Any Weather
Although the building system is one of the most advanced in the world a DomeShell structure can be built relatively
quickly. A DomeShell is also constructed from the inside the air former which
offers protection to the construction process in any weather meaning minimum hold ups.
