The First Dome Slab and Footing is Ready for Concrete

Another three-dome home project at Coffee Camp in the NSW Northern Rivers region. We have enjoyed beautiful weather over the past several days since we started setting out the building footprint. Over a few days, we have got in all the water, sewer, and storm pipes and electrical mains, while we have plodded away prefabricating sections of the slab form, which are assembled in the footing cut by the excavator in the background shots.

A ring beam footing is integrated with the slab to form a raft slab, which, in this case, has fiddly projections where the sides of the projecting hoods over the windows and doors will anchor.
